Beadweaving Basics - Brick Stitch

Writer's picture: roseblubeadsroseblubeads

When you weave with brick stitch the beads line up to resemble peyote stitch on it's side. The thread path used in brick stitch will result in a less flexible piece of weaving which makes it ideal for forming flower petals or shaped motifs.

This pattern for a Gerber Daisy was created using Bead Tool 4, which a great graphing program for beadwork.
